The Burden of Beauty

When something is truly beautiful, the world instinctively begins to search for its flaws. Human imperfection often feels threatened by anything that appears whole, luminous, or complete.

What stands out invites scrutiny. Beauty, by its very nature, unsettles those who are still negotiating their own incompleteness. And so it is examined, questioned, diminished not because it is lacking, but because it dares to exist without apology.

In this way, criticism becomes less a measure of fault and more a reflection of discomfort in the presence of what cannot be easily reduced.
