North East India & National Register of Citizens (NRC)

The Seven sister & one brother is not only geographically connected with each other but also shares a bond of friendship from ages.

NE region of India is extremely vulnerable & sensitive when it comes to border security. And in context of NRC, saving the rights of inherent north-east Indians it is extremely significant to curb & keep in check the tresspassing of illegal migrants that are coming from the international borders.

North Easts India's international borders are limited to Bhutan in the northwest,  with Bangladesh to the southwest, China to the north west & Nepal to the north west. Particularly the illegal immigrants are evidently in-fluxed from Bangladesh region. Without the concept of NRC the jobs, business opportunities & service sector will be taken over by the in-fluxed & unregistered illegal migrants, which will diminish the scope of employment in the various regions of NE India.

Further, these immigrants are been slowly moving towards other parts of states, in search of employment & better livelihood. It has also been aired in national media that some Bangladeshi terror organisations are also spreading their wings in parts of India. Hence, NRC has great role to play in order to restrain these potential threat entering into the state Assam & other part of NE India.

Entrance of illegal immigrants through Assam means a “Door” open for economic instability & terror to other parts of NE India. Therefore, Yes, it is obvious for North East Indians to greatly supports the concept & implementation of NRC in Assam.
